Biography
Siyasanga Mbuyazwe-Ngozi was born in Cala, Eastern Cape, and discovered her passion for singing at a young age, beginning in her Sunday school choir. After matriculating in 2003, she moved to Cape Town to join the Choral Training Programme (CTP) under Cape Town Opera, where she studied vocal technique with Andrea Catzel. In 2005, she furthered her studies at the South African College of Music at the University of Cape Town, under the guidance of Prof. Sidwell Hartman.
Siyasanga earned her Performer’s Diploma in Opera in 2010 and completed her Postgraduate degree in Music in 2012. Over the years, she has taken on several prominent roles, including the Queen of the Night in The Magic Flute, Konstanze in Die Entführung aus dem Serail, Antonia and Olympia in The Tales of Hoffmann, Chocholka in The Cunning Little Vixen, the Queen of Fairies in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Saartjie Bartman in 5:20.
Her talent has taken her across the globe, with performances in the UK, USA, Germany, Japan, and throughout South Africa. Siyasanga has also graced the stage at the Cape Town Youth Festival with the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra and in KwaZulu-Natal with the KwaZulu-Natal Philharmonic Orchestra.
A multiple-time winner of the OR Tambo Competition, she is currently a sought-after vocal coach and freelancer.

Audiences can look forward to her powerful and captivating performances, bringing to life some of the most beloved arias and duets from the classical repertoire, alongside other distinguished artists.
